とにかく寿司を、表現したい、変身したい、そしてそれを人にみてもらいたい。
そんな気持ちで始めて、これまで色んな場所や街で、色んな人達と関わってやってきました。
あるものは使って、無いものは作って、寿司を人前で表現する。
それは自分の小さい時の気持ちと似ているな、と思います。
小さいとき、おもちゃ屋さんで売ってるお姫様に変身できるドレスとか魔法の杖とか、
そういうものに憧れて、いつもほしいと思っていましたが買ってもらえなかったので
自分でビニール袋でドレスを作ったり、木の枝を魔法の杖に見立てたりして、
それをお母さんや友達に得意げにみせていました。
ただ好きでやっていました。そんな「ねぇ、みてみて！」っていう純粋な気持ちでした。

今までの活動を振り返ると、このパフォーマンスや活動は記念写真を撮るようだな、と思いました。
記念撮影をする時に、ピースをしたり、手のひらに建物や人などが乗っているように
撮ったりするのは一種のパフォーマンスのようにも思えます。
記念撮影をすることで一緒に撮る人やその場所と関わりを持つことができる、
自分にとって少し近くなったり、今までとはちょっと違う関係や、特別なものになる。

今まで撮影してきた場所も、東京タワーや雷門、エッフェル塔など
記念写真を撮るような場所で撮影をしてきました。
記念写真というのは、何かの人生の節目や特別な時、入学式や遠足、結婚式や旅先などに
ビデオや写真に納めるのもあれば、個人的な、他の人からみれば、
なんの意味もないような、例えばただ座っているとか、日常の何気ない風景だったりとか、
でもそれはその人にとってはとっておきたい、特別なものの写真を意味を込めて
そう呼んだりするものもあると思います。
そのように記録を残すことは、自分が今、そこにいること、そこにあったもの、その時間、を残したい
という気持ちがあるのではないでしょうか。
それは大切な記憶、記録であり、そこには確かに存在した時間、共有した時間があります。
そして、お寿司はおめでたいときやお祝いの時、またお葬式等、人生の節目に食べるごちそうであったりします。
また、SUSHIというのは世界でも通じる認知度があるものであり、様々な人達と共有できる。
そして単純に、ヴィジュアルが面白い。
いろいろな国や場所でやるのに、よいのではないかと思いました。

様々な場所でいきなり寿司に変身する、その行為はなんだか滑稽であり、
みるひとにクスッと笑ってもらえる、そんな作品だと思います。

Just wanted to express “Sushi”, transform into “Sushi” show it to people.
Beginning this performance with such an impulsive feeling,
I have performed at many places with many people.
I became “Sushi” in public from scratch, utilizing things
I have and building things I do not have.
I think this is like memories of my childhood.
When I was a child, I really wanted a princess dress
and a magic wand, but my parents did not buy them for me.
So I made a dress with plastic bag and compare a branch of tree to a magic wand,
showing them proudly to my mother and friends.
There is no reason. I just love to do so.Looking back these all performances,
they seem to be taking memorial pictures.
Taking “peace” sign and posing as if the object
seems on your hand are some kind of performances
when you take memorial pictures.
These pictures connect you to the people and the places
a little closer, making them something special for you.
Where we have taken so far also, in places like taking a commemorative photo
Kaminarimon and Tokyo Tower, and the Eiffel Tower
We have been shooting.
I mean commemorative photo, when special and turning point
of the life of something, some take a photo or video
and excursions entrance ceremony, such as destination weddings and,
looking at personal, from other people,
Like does not mean anything, such as where,

but I want to take for the people,
